My first apartment experience in Brooklyn New York was pretty unconventional.

I had decided that I wanted a real, unvarnished New York experience. Even though I had friends in the city I elected to go it alone. Brooklyn appealed to me with its ethnic neighborhoods. It felt real... It felt like the right place for me.
